The other day my coworker walked into work carrying a stack of cushions and this really fun and festive (kim: EXOTIC!) fabric. When I asked her what she was going to do with it, she looked at me blankly and said, “I don’t know, but I want this fabric on these cushions!”
So, being the great friend that I am, I helped her cut and sew the fabric together using a ladder stitch like the one shown above. It’s a very easy stitch, and it is nearly invisible when pulled taut. Check back for tutorial on how to do this in the near future.
In a few hours, we had just about finished our quick and easy project. In exchange for my help, she bought me lunch from the Vietnamese restaurant next door. How could I say no to that?!
